PHD brings together, under one program, what were previously eight separate Australian Government investments in health, education, sanitation, water, nutrition, gender equality, disability and social protection.

 The Position

We are currently seeking a Driver for a 1 year contract.  The role will ensure PHD staff are driven, or escorted, to required destinations safely and on time, as directed by the PHD Office. The position of the Driver will be responsible for chauffeuring PHD staff on official work duties. This role will be responsible for the office vehicle and security of the vehicle at all times. This role will ensure that PHD staff are driven safely to specified locations and District travel at specified times for the purpose of official duties.

The successful candidate will bring: 

• 3 years’ experience working as a Driver for a development project, company or government department
• Current Timorese driving licence that has been valid for at least two years, with no significant infringements
• Excellent knowledge of the Dili road network, specifically the District, Bobonaro
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Must be flexible, willing to perform other duties and work flexible hours
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, willingness to listen, respecting confidentiality protocols and respect for colleagues
